The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends The Verkhovna Rada to adopt the Bill on Public Reimbursement of the Material Damage to the Victims of Crime

$Опис : C:\Documents and Settings\Имя\Рабочий стол\portal.rada.gov.ua.jpg$ Committee Chairman V.Shvets presented the bill (Reg. No. 7303). The bill sets the grounds for, terms, order and extent of the public reimbursement to the victims of encroachment upon their life, health or property. The bill determines the bodies in charge of this issue, and the sources of reimbursement.

The Committee members believe that the bill can be adopted in the first reading with further adjustment. Adoption of the bill is claimed to protect the legitimate interests of the Ukrainian citizens, victims of encroachment upon their constitutional rights. It should also foster consolidation of Ukraine as a social and law-governed state, as envisaged by the Constitution of Ukraine.
